Nice piece on Charlie Parr. Though we’re actually in Minneapolis, of course…
Parr spent several years unfocused and playing a little music before getting his General Education Diploma and enrolling at Augsburg College in St. Paul. He would spend seven years working towards a philosophy degree.
Jeff “Charlie” Parr is a friend and a great musician who I had the pleasure of playing with once in Duluth. Great to hear he’s doing so well! Check him out, he truly channels the old country blues and Harry Smith era folk musicians!
